In Germany, the editor only appeared with version 3.0 in 1999 and, alongside Microsoft FrontPage, was able to establish itself as a popular web editor for simple to medium-sized web projects in Germany. The software, first published in 1997, was initially completely unknown in Germany, but quickly became a bestseller in South Korea and Japan. The program belonged to the group of WYSIWYG editors and was only available for the Microsoft Windows operating system. The last German version (Namo WebEditor 9) was published on Decemand was only available as a download in the online shops commissioned by Namo. has discontinued the production of the WebEditor and has since devoted itself to other software projects.
